I am the owner of a shop in Bluegum Road, Jesmond that was attacked by graffiti vandals. The shop front was white tiles and the vandals use various colour markers to scribble their tags and other graffiti.

At first I tried to use various cleaning products including bleach, stain remover, aeroguard; anything that was recommended by various people. The top layer of the graffiti could be removed but I could not remove the graffiti shadow. I tried many commercial graffiti removal products to no avail; the shadow could not be removed.

Later I contacted various graffiti removal contactors using different methods from steam cleaning to chemical treatments. The shadow could not be removed. As a last resort I planned to have the front of the shop repainted with special paint to cover the shadow and other graffiti that was there.

One day Graffiti X left their card with the promise that they could remove the graffiti and the shadow. I was very dubious given the months of trying to remove the shadow. When I contacted Graffiti X they informed me that they would remove the graffiti shadow and if they could not there would be no charge. I arranged for them to test their product the next day. Next morning I had a phone call at 9:30am informing me that the job was complete. I was totally amazed when I examined the shop front; there was no graffiti shadow and the whole shop front was washed down as well.
